Dyslexia Assessments

Dyslexia assessments are provided privately for children, young people and adults aged 8+.

During a dyslexia assessment, a series of tests will be carried out to confirm whether an individual has dyslexia or not.

A dyslexia assessment is the only way to formally diagnose dyslexia. The assessment takes around 2.5 hours to complete. The formal assessments will explore an individual's:

• Underlying General Ability
• Spelling
• Reading (single word and prose reading) 
• Comprehension
• Writing 
• Numeracy (if there are concerns in this area)
• Working Memory 
• Speed of Processing
• Phonological Awareness

A dyslexia assessment test report will follow and this will provide a clearer picture of one’s strengths and challenges.

The report will provide recommendations for support at home and also for school, college or university.

The dyslexia assessment cost is £525.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required at the time of booking and the remaining fee is due on the day of the dyslexia assessment.
